Tekken: Rise of the Angel: Chapter 30

The 7^th Iron Fist tournament has come to an end as Kazuya Mishima the host of the tournament was defeated by his own daughter, Sophie Barkman. Sophie herself literally processed the powers of Angel, an entity that has the power to stop Kazuya’s devil ego.

With Kazuya defeated and imprisoned, the whole G Corporation has crumbled not to mention Paul Phoenix and Hwoarang’s gang all now safely behind bars. However, Lee Chaolan manages to escape along with two other individuals, Bruce Irvin and Anna Williams and the Mishimas (excluding Kazuya) have changed. The whole knew peace for now but Kazuya still harbours hatred and determination to continue his ambitions.

By the time, they got back to the school, Principal Jolyon Wagg and the other teachers as well as the seniors were waiting for them with a welcome-back party.

“As I will say...Jolyon wishes he was there to see the big show.”
“You missed us, my friend?”
“Well, you can say that, Laszlo? We watch the thing on television and I have to say many of our students are great and tough fighters.”

“Indeed they are...Wouldn’t you agree, Ramon?”
“Certainly, amigo.”

“Good...Class 10A and B. As your esteem principal...I am proud of you all not only for representing our school but saving the world.”
“Thank you, sir!” replied all the students of both classes. “Now let us relax and enjoy this quiet party and since it’s the weekend tomorrow. You may stand up until midnight.”
“Come on, students...Have some down time first before going to bed. It’s the least you could do.”

“Very well...Boys, girls. Shall we?” asked Samuel Wong as he spoke on behalf of his class and class B.

“AYE!”

Sure enough, all the boys and girls of both classes took some down time during the welcome back party. The seniors, Maxi, Hilde, Xianghua and Yun-Seong were talking to Samuel and Joey about the duties they will undertake when they move to next year and the year after. Everyone including the staff were enjoying themselves as Sophie decides to head off somewhere quiet and Alex notices her heading off.

“Hey, Andy...I will be back in a moment.”
“Sure thing, buddy...Hey, you going to um...”
“Confess?”
“That’s right.”
“Well, I think I might give it a shot.”
“Go get the girl, tiger.”

“Thanks, Andy.”

Alex therefore heads off after Sophie who was on the roof of the girl’s dormitory building. Sophie was glancing up at the night sky as there were quite a number of beautiful stars and from looking at them makes her heart feel at ease.

“Sophie.”
“Alex.”
“I um...You okay?”
“Yes...I just enjoy this beautiful night up here.”
“I see...Uh, Sophie. I just wanted to say that um...”
“What?”
“Do you like um...Do you like me?”
“Yes.”
Sophie replies in a straight forward manner much to Alex’s surprise and she literally could tell that from Alex’s heart, which she could sense using her Angel powers.

“I know...I um...I too feel the same about you.”
“You do?”
“Yes, Alex...You have a kind and gentle soul. I feel quite happy to have someone like you at my side.”
“Yes, I feel honoured as well.”

Both Alex and Sophie stroll in front of each other and looks at each other in the eyes. Alex knows just from looking at Sophie reminds him of Kazuya but tells Sophie that she is not like her father.

“You may have his eyes, Sophie...But you are not him. You sure are a beautiful person.”
“Thanks.”

At that moment, Andy Zhang and many others, which consist of class A, B (but not the girls) and the seniors were all pleased and overjoyed just from watching the romance scene that just transpired.

“Oh, how romantic.”
“It sure is.”
“Yeah.”
“Say, Maxi.”
“What?”
“I like Hilde but I don’t think she likes me that much.”

“You need to work on your sloppy attitude, my friend.”
“You need not tell me twice, Maxi.”

Alex notices that he and Sophie are being watched as both were a little jealous of them of ruining the perfect moment.

“Guys...Thanks for ruining my perfect moment with Sophie.”

“Oh, sorry.”
“Our bad.”

“Hey, Sophie!”

All the girls then come and Shirley tells Sophie that Xiaoyu has something she wants to say to her.

“Hey, Sophie...Xiaoyu here wants to say something to you.”
“To me?”
“Yes...Go ahead, Xiaoyu.”

“Uh, Sophie...I just want to say that...”
“Go on.”
“You are my heroine...You save the Mishima bloodline where I could not.”
Sophie then strolls over to Xiaoyu and pats her on the top of her head.

“I was not able to do this alone, Xiao...You and all the others here help as well.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“You are a good friend, Sophie...Although I dislike the way you all are taller than me.”
“You still are a little jealous, right?”
“Uh, yes...But I like you all well enough. And just to show you that how much I appreciate of you helping save the Mishima bloodline I want to ask something of you.”
“And that would be?”
“Would all my classmates and yours, Sophie...Gather together and wearing your lovely dance costumes?”
“Well...Of course.”
“Let me guess...Xiaoyu. You like to take a photo of them?”
“No, Miharu...I have something better in mind.”
“And that would be...”
“You will see.”
“Well, everyone...What do you think?” asked Sophie as all of her fellow classmates agreed and those of class B as well.

“Very well...I will change first and then you can get started Xiaoyu.”
“Uh, sure.”
Sophie seems to know what Xiaoyu was planning and strolls off as literally Xiaoyu wants to draw a decent drawing of the 32 tiger cubs and those of her fellow classmates. The seniors asked whether they could be in the drawing and Xiaoyu allows them as well.

“And of course the seniors are allowed to be in it.”

“Good...Shall we, Yun-Seong?”
“Well, at least I will have something to remember by...Won’t we, Maxi?”
“Yes...I would.”

It wasn’t long before Sophie returns wearing her blue dancing costume as she and her classmates all lined up in the exactly pose that they did during the dance show. Patroklos and the others merely pose by lying down or standing behind them with something to stand since many of class A students are quite tall. Miharu asks if this pose was good for her and she complies with a smile.

“So...Is this okay?”
“Yeah...Perfect. Now all I need is an art drawing stand, art paper, drawing pencils and a rubber then I am all set.”
“Ahem.”
Xiaoyu jumped and knew someone was standing behind her and it was none other than Heihachi himself as he was carrying in his hands exactly what she needed.

“Grandpa...You scared me.”
“Sorry, Xiaoyu...Here you go. Everything you need is here.”
“How could you...”
“Well, Sophie knew that from connecting with your heart.”

“She did?”
“That’s right.”
“Well, I don’t know what to say.”

Heihachi hands Xiaoyu what she needed and she quickly sets up her art drawing stand.

“Okay, let’s begin.”

Ling Xiaoyu begins drawing the whole two classes of 10A and B together with a few seniors as Xiaoyu takes her time in drawing her masterpiece. Time went by as some of the students begin to feel drowsy and dopey. Andy Zhang in particular was feeling quite exhausted and complains about putting his tough guy arms on two girls when the girls put their arms on his shoulders.

“Boy, I am beat...How long does she need to do?”
“Your guess is as good as mine, Andy.”
“That’s not the answer I was looking for, Rose.”
“I see.”
“And anyway...It pains me when I have two adoring girls putting arms over me and...” began Andy as Shirley and Rose both stomped their left and right foot on both Andy’s shoes and feet respectively.

“OW!”
“Hey, quiet down! I cannot concentrate!”

“Sorry, Xiaoyu.”
“Yes, our apologies.”
“That’s all right.”

At that moment, both Heihachi and Jun were observing this close by and finds it quite amusing.

“Well, Xiaoyu doesn’t change...Does she?”
“She doesn’t, Heihachi.”
“Right.”
“So, have you discuss on who will run the Zaibatsu with your father?”
“Yes...Apparently for the time being he and I will run it together with some help from Jin who has surprisingly decide to offer his assistance.”
“Tell me then...Who did you really have in mind?”

“Well...It’s Sophie.”
“I see.”
“But I think she will need to concentrate on her studies ahead and all.”
“I understand.”
“And I will give it to her when she graduates.”
“Right.”
“As a nice graduation present from his grandfather.”
“That sounds wonderful.”

“Indeed.”

Steve and the other teachers excluding Alcazar who went with them to Macau decide to call it a night and bids the two of them goodnight.

“Night.”
“Night.”

“Well, I suppose we too should get some rest...It has been a big day for all of us.”

“Agreed.”

Suddenly, Kuma comes and Heihachi could see that his bear bodyguard was feeling down.

“What’s up, Kuma?”
(“Pops...Boohoo!”)

 “What is it, my pet?” asked Heihachi sensing sadness in Kuma.

(“Panda...Turn me down yet again!”)

“Oh, I see...Well, love is a hard thing to achieve, Kuma. It will take time.”
(“I hope so, pops.”)

Eventually, Alcazar also joins them as he has something quite important to tell both Heihachi and Jun respectively.

“Heihachi, Jun...I have something important to tell you.”
“Very well...Kuma, go and rest up. You had a tiring day as well.”
(“Very well...Goodnight, pops.”)

Kuma heads off still feeling quite down and Alcazar curiously asks what was wrong with Heihachi’s pet bodyguard.

“Is something wrong with your pet, amigo?”

“Well, Kuma is just feeling down after he was turn down by Panda.”
“I see...Well, achieving love is certainly no easy task.”
“You’ve said it, my friend.”
“So, Ramon...I trust you have something important to tell the two of us?”
“Yes, indeed I have, Jun.”

“Well, tell us.”
“About half an hour ago, Lei Wu Long inform me of a massacre at a Mishima Zaibatsu lab in Shanghai. All personnel were confirmed dead.”
“Dead?”
“Yes.”
“Jun, what do you think?”
“Well, it cannot be, Kazuya...Right?”
“That’s right...Reports states Kazuya is now in the confines of Mahoratraz.”

“Then who can it be?”

“Well, it could be Lee Chaolan but somehow that doesn’t fit his style.”
“You are right, amigo...The bodies were all pretty much mutilated.”

“Then we may have a new enemy on our hands.”

“Well, Jin’s team are going to check the area out. They will try to find some more information first and hopefully find a clue on who or what had done this.”
“Thanks, Ramon.”
“Yes. Thank you.”

“Anytime...Goodnight.”
Alcazar heads off as Heihachi and Jun consults with each other of what they just heard and Jun felt a bit of uneasiness in her heart.

“You sense something, Jun?”
“Yes, it is not good. It’s sinister.”
“Well, I too wonder what it could be?”

Heihachi and Jun stares up into the sky to wonder. Although Kazuya’s defeat has put people’s mind at ease but a new threat has just occurred. But what and who remains unclear. Nonetheless, the rising of Angel has reunited the Mishima family and defeated the Devil...The new age for the Mishimas has begun and for Sophie and her friends they will continue to work hard on their studies and prepare for year 11. Who knows if they could adjust between school life and crime fighting?

Epilogue

Deep in a cell located at the bottom level of Mahoratraz, Kazuya Mishima was chained up like an animal and grunts at his defeat but at the same time, he was proud of her daughter’s determination and ambition.

“Sophie, you made your daddy proud.”

Suddenly, a portal opens up in front of Kazuya and then a tall green figure appears and was dressed in an outfit that resembles both Ancient Egypt and Aztec. Kazuya knew who it was he had faced him before.

“You.”
It was Ancient Ogre as he just growls and Kazuya he could not speak.

“Ancient Ogre...What a surprise. It is a pity you cannot talk.”
“Kazuya.”
“Hmm...”
“Do you wish for revenge?”

Kazuya was surprised at first but then quickly knew Ancient Ogre could now communicate using telepathy.

“Yes...I do. But how?”

“I will give you back your devil powers and also direct you to someone who can help with your revenge plans.”
“Who?”
“Your brother.”
“Brother? It cannot be, Lee Chaolan.”
“No, your sworn brother...When you were in your thirties you were in Hong Kong and befriended two others as one I cannot remember his name and his whereabouts and the other...I think you might remember and I know where he is.”
“I see.”
Kazuya begins to remember who it was and asks Ancient Ogre where could he find him.

“Where do I find my sworn brother?”
“Shanghai...Follow the trail of death and carnage and you will find him. He will help you to take revenge on your enemies.”

“Then I shall go and find him...After I bust myself out of here and find Anna and Bruce.”

“You shall.”

Ancient Ogre then points a finger at Kazuya and instantly dark energy flows right into Kazuya and once Ancient Ogre was finished Kazuya felt a bit weird.

“I can feel my power coming back to me.”
“In time you will regain your full strength...I will be waiting for you in Shanghai, Kazuya Mishima.”
“Indeed...I don’t know what to say.”
“You can thank me later, Kazuya...We both share common enemies.”
“I suppose so.”
Ancient Ogre then disappears as Kazuya begins to regain his evil confidence once again.

“Well, Sophie...Daddy is coming back and you and everyone will soon feel my wrath again! HA HA HA HA HA!”
